An update deep in the heart of the latest edition of Toy Book online reveals the official price of the MOTU Origins Snake Mountain!

Previously, Skeletor's hideout had been described as "amongst the catacombs deep under Eternia", while the bible for the Filmation series listed his base as being Point Dread, located in the middle of the ocean. Mattel tried to make the best of the design by adding a snake face to the mountain and a green snake that popped out from the side, but it wasn’t the Filmation pointy mountain peak, lava waterfall, snake structure we all knew; I’ll tell you that much! Yes, it had a ladder, hand cuffs, a suspension bridge, and even some stairs that were too narrow for your figure to climb up; but it was the Snake Mountain that we got, and we all learned to love it over time. Masters of the Universe Snake Mountain Exterior To get to throne, figures must pass by the wolf head and the intimidating spider. To get out, they must watch out for the 'acid pool' on the way to the hidden escape tunnel. Also en route for next fall, New Adventures Skeletor joins He-Man exclusively at Target. Joining him, we’ll see a deluxe Duncan from Revelation, in a new sculpt with fabric cloak. Display him in peasant clothing, or armor him up to look like the Man-at-Arms he used to be. As a figure moves up the stairs and through the upper gate -- BAM! It will drop through the trapdoor into the cage. The cage can move to the dungeon underneath the throne of Skeletor™ for safekeeping.
Mysterious Point Dread was a stone structure of magical might. A mystical location appearing on the face of Eternia every twenty years. The powerful 2 man Talon Fighter, rests atop it’s outpost. Skeletor once endangered all of Eternia by tapping into Point Dread’s power, but the Goddess spirited the entire structure away to Castle Grayskull, merging it with the mystic stronghold Masters of the Universe Character CompendiumVolume 1 pg 589

The episode Masks of Power reveals that many centuries ago, the Sword of the Ancients was thrust into a boulder of pure quartz, deep beneath Snake Mountain, and forgotten. According to the Sorceress, it is the most powerful weapon on Eternia, next to He-Man's Sword of Power. This 7″ scale figure has a premium sculpt and deco inspired by the New Adventures series. The Skeletor figure contains 30+ points of articulation, a cape, his iconic staff, as well as a removable helmet. It pairs with the spring 2023 release of New Adventures He-Man. Masterverse Skeletor arrives fall 2023, at US Target stores. Masterverse Deluxe Revelation Duncan Figure Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Forty years ago, the minds at Mattel Toys had a brilliant idea. Combine the aesthetics of Conan the Barbarian with the sci-fi action of Star Wars for a new line of action figures. The result was Masters of the Universe, a toyline that gave birth to a franchise. Although the line’s popularity was most prominent in the ’80s, the kids who grew up with He-Man and Skeletor’s eternal struggle never forgot. Masters of the Universe continues to grow to this day. This setting however was one of the main locations in all of He-Man lore to never get produced into a playset. There was a concept however by the MOTU classics team, that never came to fruition. Pictured below, you can see the elaborate playset with its multiple platforms with different areas of the exterior of the palace. A landing pad for the Wind Raider, grand staircase for Princess Adora to come down, multiple platforms to place your Royal Guards, a cave to park the Road Ripper and even a working elevator. We are guessing the actual price will be in line with the MOTU Origins Castle Grayskull and that it will be more a more expensive set given production and manufacturing costs have gone up since the release of Castle Grayskull. The range we see on Deep Discount gives us a good idea on the the amount of money we will be shelling out, which is way less than the Mattel Creations Eternia playset! Origins - Frog Monger & He-Skeletor will be released as Mattel Creations Exclusives. He-Skeletor is from the German Audio Plays which is also where Anti-Eternia He-Man originated from. Snake Mountain was formed long ago, during the war against the Snake Men. The Council of Elders used their power to bind Serpos, mighty serpent god of the Snake Men, to a mountain on Eternia's Dark Hemisphere and turned it to stone.
